Hello Friends!
My name is Laurel Tolbert McDaniel and I am the creator of Rose Colored Wandering.
I live in Florida with my 3 pound chihuahua named Maple (pictured to the right) and I am recently married to a cute engineer named Reid!! During the week, you will find me teaching math at the local high school (*cue the sighs, because everyone hates math*).
Although I love my job, I also have a creative side that it does not allow me to express. I love to write, read, take pictures, travel, and learn about new cultures and this blog encompasses all of these passions. So, let’s talk about our mantra – Rose Colored Wandering.
Have you ever heard someone say you are wearing rose-colored glasses? Maybe it is a southern thing, but it means that you are looking at something through an optimistic point of view.
I think this is a wonderful depiction of how I desire to go through life. Always looking for the good and valuing the positive parts of each moment. My goal is to walk through life wearing rose-colored glasses (figuratively, of course).
